Product Safety & Compliance

What we can document, and what we test before a fixture leaves the workshop. Safety and compliance questions come up most often from designers, contractors and hospitality buyers, because they carry the liability for the specification. This page sets out what we hold, what we can release for your project file, and where a claim depends on the model or the configuration rather than on the range as a whole.

Certification and testing

Fixtures in our current range are supplied under the following certification, which is stated on each product page:

Standard Scope
CE Conformity marking for the European Economic Area
RoHS Restriction of hazardous substances in electrical equipment
ETL / UL (US & Canada) Electrical safety listing recognised for the United States and Canada

Certification is granted for a specific electrical design, not for a brand. Certificates and test reports are available on request, and we confirm which documents apply to the exact model and configuration you are ordering before production starts — so the paperwork in your project file matches the fixture that ships.

Electrical specification

  • Voltage: 110–240V. Fixtures work on US, Canadian and EU supply without an external transformer.
  • Light source: LED or energy-saving lamp, depending on the model. Where a lamp holder is listed it is E27, E14 or G4.
  • Colour temperature: 3000 K as standard, with other colour temperatures and dimming specified on request.
  • Drivers and control gear: supplied with the fixture. Where a dimmer is used, tell us the dimming system at quotation stage so the driver is matched to it — an incompatible dimmer is the most common cause of an electrical fault we are asked about, and it is not covered by warranty.

Quality control before dispatch

  • Built and inspected in house. Metalwork, finishing and assembly happen in our own workshop, so the person checking the fixture is the person who built it.
  • Electrical testing at your project voltage before the fixture is packed.
  • Approval against the drawing set. For custom and adapted work, the finished piece is checked against the approved dimensions, drop, finish references and component schedule.
  • Photographs before packing. You receive photographs of the finished fixture and confirmation that nothing has changed since approval. Packing is then arranged for export transit.

Load and installation safety

Oversized lighting fails most often at the ceiling, not in the fixture. We treat the fixing as part of the specification:

  • Tell us what you are fixing to — concrete slab, timber joist, steel truss or suspended ceiling — and we confirm the arrangement.
  • You receive the finished weight and load information for your contractor, so the fixing point can be rated before installation day.
  • Chandeliers and pendants are supplied in tiers with a numbered assembly sequence, a hardware list and a ceiling plate.
  • Ceiling and wall lights fit a standard junction box or wall box. Floor and table lamps are freestanding and require no installation.
  • Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, and the fixture must not be hung from a structure that cannot carry its load.

Materials and finishes

  • Finishes applied to our fixtures are supplied RoHS-compliant, consistent with the certification set above.
  • Finish names describe colour and surface treatment, not the base material — the substrate is stated in the specification table on each product page, and mirrored in the finishes library.
  • Crystal and glass components are inspected for faults as supplied; defective components are replaced under warranty. Consumables such as lamps, bulbs and batteries are not covered.

Documentation we can issue for a project

  • Certificates of conformity and test reports applicable to the ordered model and configuration
  • Approval drawing set: overall dimensions, drop and canopy position, tier arrangement, finish references, load information and packing arrangement
  • Finished weight and ceiling load figures for your structural or installation contractor
  • Electrical specification, including voltage, lamp type, holder type and dimming compatibility
  • Packing arrangement and export documentation for the shipment

What is released depends on the model and on what your project requires — tell us the standard your specifier or authority is asking for and we will confirm whether we can meet it before you place the order.

Warranty and after-sales

Every fixture carries a structural and electrical warranty, and spare components are held after delivery. Warranties cover structure, wiring, lamp holders, drivers, control gear and finish defects, and exclude third-party installation damage, unreported transit damage, consumables, and faults caused by site wiring or an incompatible dimmer. Warranty terms are stated per listing; the warranty and after-sales page sets out exactly what is covered and how to make a claim.
